Product-Specific Questions

What is the signal range of your wireless devices?

We manufacture two main series of radio devices with different range capabilities:

5xx Series (Standard Range):

  • 30-40 meters indoors (through walls and obstacles)
  • Over 200 meters outdoors in open space
  • Line of sight operation for maximum range
  • Ideal for: Nurse call systems, panic alarms, peon call bells, token displays

7xx Series (Long Range):

  • 2-3 kilometers in urban areas
  • Over 6-8 kilometers in open fields
  • Desert and terrain coverage capabilities
  • Ideal for: Long-range alarm systems, defense applications, airport security

Learn more about our Long Range Solutions.

Can I increase the communication range?

Yes, you can significantly increase signal range using signal boosters and range enhancer repeaters. With repeaters deployed, signal range can be increased many folds.

Key features:

  • Multiple repeaters can be used in a network for extensive coverage
  • Covers complex multi-floor buildings and large facilities
  • Available in both 5xx and 7xx series
  • For 7xx series, mounting transmitter and antenna at maximum height enhances range

Our Signal Repeater Booster devices are specifically designed for range extension. For large facilities like hospitals with 6,000+ beds, repeaters ensure complete coverage without dead zones.

How does the wireless nurse call system work?

Our wireless nurse call system operates on RF (Radio Frequency) technology in the free ISM band 380-480MHz. Here's how it works:

  • Each patient receives a wireless remote button that communicates via RF signals
  • When pressed, the signal travels through walls, furniture, and floors to reach the nurse station display
  • The LCD monitor instantly shows the room or bed number that triggered the call, along with an audible alert
  • No cables run between patient rooms and the nurse station - simply place remotes at bedsides and power on the central display
  • For large facilities, signal repeaters extend coverage across entire floors or wings

What power requirements do your devices have?

Our products offer flexible power options:

Battery-Operated Devices:

  • Patient remotes, panic buttons, and portable devices use standard batteries (A23, AA, or AAA)
  • 2-4 years battery life depending on usage
  • No wiring required - completely portable

AC-Powered Devices:

  • Nurse station displays, token displays, and central units use 220V AC power
  • Standard power adapter included
  • Low power consumption for energy efficiency

Hybrid Systems:

  • Many systems combine battery-operated remotes with AC-powered displays
  • Provides flexibility and reliability

Can I customize room or bed numbers on the nurse call display?

Yes, absolutely! Our nurse station displays have built-in WiFi connectivity that lets you configure alphanumeric room identifiers through a web interface.

You can set custom names like:

  • 'ICU-3', 'Room 204', 'Ward-B Bed 5'
  • Any alphanumeric identifier up to a certain character limit
  • These names are stored in internal memory and persist through power cycles

No need to reconfigure after a restart - the settings are permanently saved. This feature is available on our Nurse Station LCD Monitor Display models.

What is the difference between 5xx and 7xx series devices?

The main difference is communication range and application:

5xx Series (Standard Range):

  • Range: 30-40m indoors, 200m+ outdoors
  • Best for: Hospitals, offices, restaurants, residential buildings
  • Products: Nurse call systems, panic alarms, peon call bells, token displays
  • Frequency: ISM band 380-480MHz

7xx Series (Long Range):

  • Range: 2-3km urban, 6-8km open fields
  • Best for: Defense, airports, border security, large industrial facilities
  • Products: Long-range alarm systems, perimeter security
  • Frequency: ISM band 380-480MHz (optimized for long-range)

Both series operate in the same frequency band but are optimized for different range requirements. Learn more about our Long Range Solutions.

Installation & Setup

Do your products require installation or wiring?

No wiring is required for our wireless solutions. This is one of the key advantages over wired systems:

  • No complex installation: Simply place devices where needed
  • No floor plan analysis: No need to analyze building layouts for cable routing
  • Quick setup: Plug-and-play operation - most systems are operational within minutes
  • No disruption: Install in existing facilities without construction work
  • Portable: Devices can be moved or relocated easily

For AC-powered displays, you only need a standard power outlet. Battery-operated remotes work immediately after inserting batteries.

How long does it take to set up a nurse call system?

Setup time depends on the system size, but our wireless systems are significantly faster than wired alternatives:

  • Small systems (10-20 beds): 30-60 minutes
  • Medium systems (50-100 beds): 2-4 hours
  • Large systems (500+ beds): 1-2 days (including repeaters if needed)

Compare this to wired systems which can take weeks or months for large facilities. Our wireless approach eliminates:

  • Cable routing and installation
  • Wall cutting and drilling
  • Electrical work and permits
  • System testing and troubleshooting

Most installations can be done by facility staff with basic instructions. For complex setups, we provide technical support.

Can your systems work in existing buildings?

Yes, our wireless systems are perfect for retrofitting existing buildings. This is one of our key advantages:

  • No structural changes: No need to cut walls, drill holes, or modify building structure
  • No disruption: Install while facilities remain operational
  • Works through walls: RF signals penetrate walls, floors, and obstacles
  • Flexible placement: Place devices anywhere without worrying about cable runs
  • Easy expansion: Add more devices later without rewiring

We've successfully installed systems in:

  • Historic buildings and heritage structures
  • Multi-story hospitals and nursing homes
  • Existing office buildings and commercial spaces
  • Renovated facilities
